La Corte di San Rocco is located on the beautiful hillsides of the city of Trento, just a few minutes from the historical centre.

This area, cultivated with vineyards and orchards, was once home to small farming villages that housed the lands of urban owners. During the 16th century, several villas were built here, serving as second homes for the Trentino nobility who resided in the palaces of the city centre.

The villa originated as a 16th-century farmstead, within a complex of medieval buildings centred around a central courtyard, enclosed by a rusticated low-arched portal with a coat of arms carved into the stone.

The south wing of the courtyard contained a chapel on the outer wall, where in 1886, a stone gable aedicule was placed in honour of San Rocco.

Restored and embellished during the 17th and 18th centuries, it became the manor house of the Zambelli family and later the summer residence of the Counts Ancillotto, originally from Innsbruck.

Since the 1970s, the villa has been the home of the historic Maestranzi family, which today, after meticulous restoration work, opens its doors, offering hospitality in a setting that is both refined and informal.
